Read about what it is to dissent from the party line on the right these days, and how the reactions differ between male and female dissenters, among other things. It’s a very informative, objective piece.

I’d concluded something comparable with regard to professional gatherings. Waste of time and money and if employers ever figured it out, they wouldn’t send their people.

I attended the Apple convention in San Francisco a few years back and the only thing they didn’t have was an orgy. It was decadent to the point of revolting.

True conservatism is kaput. This is lowest common denominator authoritarian rhetoric wishing for oligocracy.

When someone as detached from the real world, devoid of real credentials and credibility as (draft dodger) LaPierre is up there shouting about the evils of “socialism” (I bet he couldn’t define the term if he had one of the objects he defends aimed at his face), you know it is done.

A guy at church last night shared a limerick with me about how the Broward County Sheriff deputy was a coward and all of that and I simply refused to go along. A tragic fail for sure, but I am not going to sit and judge him. I’m sure glad I’m not him.

I wouldn’t want to be that deputy either. I won’t grouse about the incident, as I doubt he could have changed much, if anything.
